The Nifty Fifties in a Quiet Location

We were visiting family for the holidays. Great house for gathering.

Wonderful, beautiful place to stay, and Kathleen is a tremendous and welcoming host. Would highly recommend to anyone visiting Cedar Rapids.

What a great find. As soon as my family and I walked in, we felt at home. The vibe was awesome.The neighborhood was quiet abd peaceful. It was like stepping back in time. we even had 3 deer stroll across the yard one evening.It was super clean. The beds were reaĺly comfortable. The hostess, Kathleen, even had complimentary fun snacks and wine set out for us to enjoy It was fun looking around and seeing many of the things from the 'old days': various salt and pepper shakers, Betty Crocker cook book, a dial telephone and the list goes on. Every room you go into has something that'll make you smile. Even the downstairs area was outstanding outstanding with its bar and lounge area.If you're in the Cedar Rapids area and are looking for a place to stay, this is it. You won't regret it

Very Nice and fun vintage decorated home. Clean and has all the amenities. Great communication. Some friendly deer were hanging out right next door.

An incredible blast from the past. Positive: There’s clean and then there’s immaculate. This was immaculate. There’s charming and then there’s “off the charts” charming. This place is off the charts. Spent a lot of time showing it to my friends after I kept saying “you have to see this place.” Staff was exceptionally responsive. Negative: It’s so period perfect, it felt a little like staying in a museum. The shower is kitschy, but very, very small. That said, there’s a large one in the basement.
